Possibly, after residing in Oviedo with your family for a while, something that may affect your legal permanent residence / green card has come up.

Perhaps you have been harmed by a group the government in your country cannot control, or by the government in your country, and you are seeking political asylum. Or possibly you are in need of other
immigration relief.

Maybe you would prefer to stay in Oviedo because your country has been devastated by a natural disaster or has an ongoing armed conflict, it would not be safe to return now, and you are in need of Temporary Protected Status.
You may be aware that if a person from Oviedo is going to file a civil case, the person would likely do so in Seminole County because the city of Oviedo is located in Seminole County. And, if someone allegedly commits a crime in Oviedo, the charge would likely be filed in Seminole County.

In Immigration Court though,
deportation cases are heard wherever the charges are filed by the government. Obviously, the filing of a deportation case far from where a person lives can bring about unexpected obstacles.

For instance, if someone who resides in Oviedo is pulled over for speeding and the immigration authorities later take custody of the person, immigration can move them to a detention facility in California, Texas, or anywhere in the United States, and file the case there.

If something is clear it is that an immigration case can greatly affect your life and your family.

We would like the impact of your immigration case on your life as well as your family members to be a positive one.
The city of Oviedo was named by its first postmaster, Andrew Aulin. Aulin, who was born in Sweden, was an early settler and shop owner in the Lake Jesup community, part of which became the city of Oviedo.

In 1879, residents of the soon to be named Oviedo area needed an easily accessible post office and Aulin decided to file the requisite paperwork. Aulin wanted a unique name for the post office and wanted a Spanish name that would go with the Spanish name of the state.

He decided to name the post office Oviedo after the University of Oviedo located in northern Spain. Some say Aulin actually visited the University of Oviedo. However, others say he just liked the sound of the Spanish pronunciation of "Oviedo."

Regardless of whether Aulin visited the University of Oviedo or not, the residents kept the Oviedo name, and in 1925 incorporated the city of Oviedo. At that time, Oviedo had roughly 800 residents. Today, the city of Oviedo has over thirty four thousand residents.
